If you are a senior, are experiencing loss of autonomy or have
a chronic disease that prevents you from preparing your meals or
leaving your home, you can take advantage of the services provided by
Meals on Wheels programs. As a rule, the meals must be paid for.
To obtain meals on wheels, you have to contact your local CLSC (Local community services centres) or volunteer centre.

The PRASAB regroupment (for meals on wheels and food service volunteer) makes available the repertory of its 154 members offering meals on wheels and other food service volunteer. You need help for housekeeping, laundry, preparing non-diet meals, shopping for groceries and running other errands? You could ask for domestic help services from a Domestic Help Social Economy Businesses (DHSEBs).
If you want to benefit from DHSEB services, it would be good for you to know that there is a program of Financial Assistance for Domestic Help Services managed by the RAMQ (Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec).

If you are unable to leave your home because of your state of health, a physical handicap or an intellectual disability, you may be able to obtain home support services. The services include: professional care and services in your home; home support services; services for caregivers; technical support. The aim of home support services is to avoid hospitalization and reduce its duration, as well as to ease the return home after an illness or a surgery.
